1 ELECTRIC BMW SEDAN STANDS OUT FOR ITS INTERIOR AND USER EXPERIENCE
Thanks to the rise of SUVs, sedans are a dying breed. That’s bad news for automakers with many sedans in their lineups, including BMW. But fortunately for Bimmer fans, the German luxury brand still produces four-door cars. And one electric BMW sedan distinguishes itself with a stunning interior and excellent user experience.

WardsAuto recently published its top 10 list of cars with the best interiors and user experience (UX). The trade publication nominated and evaluated 21 models for the Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX awards. The evaluation phase happened earlier this year, and the judges made their choices based on the most outstanding interiors and easy-to-use systems.
Wards selected a mix of mainstream and luxury cars. Nominees that didn’t win are the Acura Integra, Bentley Bentayga, Chevy Trax, Honda CR-V Hybrid, Lexus RX 500h, Mazda CX-50, Mercedes-Benz EQB, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, Toyota Prius, Volvo C40, and Volkswagen Arteon.
The 10 winners are the BMW i7, Cadillac Lyriq, Ford F-150 Lightning, Genesis GV60, GMC Hummer, Hyundai Palisade, Jeep Wagoneer L, Kia Sportage Hybrid, Land Rover Range Rover, and Nissan Ariya.
Six winners are EVs, and most are SUVs. The two exceptions are the F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck and the BMW i7 electric sedan.
Why the i7 electric BMW sedan has a winning interior and UX
Wards judged the car on its interior quality, design, seat comfort, and infotainment system’s ease of use. And the 2023 i7 electric BMW’s doesn’t disappoint. Its interior is stunning, with an airy cabin and comfortable Merino leather-wrapped seating for five.
As its hefty $120,000 price tag implies, this car also touts a long list of opulent features. They include a curved display, glass controls, a panoramic glass roof, automatic soft-closing doors, and power rear-window sunshades.
Furthermore, buyers can upgrade to massaging seats, an Alcantara headliner, an executive rear center console, and a reclining rear seat with a power footrest, U.S. News reports.
This electric BMW also offers an optional 31-inch rear-seat entertainment system. Plus, the German luxury brand recently updated its infotainment system, so the i7’s 14.9-inch touchscreen is easier to use.

Luxury aside, the i7 is a BMW, so it’s naturally a high-performance car. Currently, there’s only one powertrain for the i7: two electric motors harnessing 536 hp and 549 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain pushes the luxury EV from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.
The motors pair with to a 101.7-kWh battery, giving this electric BMW a max range of 318 miles on a full charge. It also can be recharged quickly. When it’s hooked up to a 195-kW DC fast charger, it can gain 80 miles of range in 10 minutes. It takes about a half-hour to go from 10% charge to 80%, and a full recharge with a home charger takes about 10 hours.
